Editorial Policy

This policy explains how content is produced, reviewed, and maintained on Frontline Earth.

Scope

Frontline Earth covers natural landforms, landscapes, and the geological and geographic processes that create and change them. We do not cover unrelated subjects, and we do not accept paid placement for article topics, rankings, or recommendations.

Accuracy standards

Every article is structured around well-documented geological processes and cross-checked against institutional sources such as national geological surveys and earth-science agencies (see Sources & Methodology). We avoid presenting disputed, approximate, or location-dependent figures as single precise values. Where current research disagrees on a cause, rate, or timeline, the article states that directly.

Independence

Content on Frontline Earth is produced independently of any product, service, tourism, or financial interest. We do not accept compensation in exchange for favorable coverage of a location, organization, or claim.

Review cycle

Each article shows a publication date and a most recent review date in its sidebar. Articles are revisited periodically, and sooner if a reader or reviewer flags a potential inaccuracy.

Images and diagrams

Diagrams are produced originally for this site. Hero photographs are sourced from public-domain U.S. government archives (USGS, NASA, the National Park Service, and NOAA), downloaded and stored directly on this site with credit given on each article and consolidated on the credits page.

Corrections

See our separate corrections policy for how we handle and disclose factual errors.
